Benin - Land Policy and Administration Study

The Millennium Challenge Corporation ("MCC") and the Government of the Republic of Benin (the "Government") have awarded Stewart Information International Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE: STC), a contract to prepare a Land Policy and Administration Study. The Project will require Stewart Information International to work directly as a partner with MCA-Benin for services to include: 1) Conduct a series of studies with recommended proposals for land policy, administration and improvements on the management of the National Land Commission based on a decentralized government model involving the introduction of new technologies and methods of management; 2) Develop a "White Paper" containing recommendations for the final land policy and administration to support the "Access to Land" Project Director in carrying it through the processes of government policy formation; 3) Draft the necessary land related legislative acts to assist in the promotion and acceptance of the new land policy.
